Team BGreen is the first ever Pakistani team to ever compete in Solar Decathlon .The team comprises of academicians and students of both undergraduate and graduate programs coming together from Architecture, Engineering and Business backgrounds.
Our mission is to deliver a high-performance solar-powered house that not only resonates to people’s needs but provides the comfort level for the ages to come. We aim to promote the culture of sustainable living and to advertise the benefits and opportunities to make smart, affordable houses and encourage industries and instill innovation in present industries.
National University of Sciences & Technology, (NUST), Pakistan is ranked first in Pakistan for Engineering and comes in top 100 universities under 50 years of age by QS rankings.
Solar Decathlon is a ten-series competition created by the US Department of Energy, is first time being hosted in Dubai in 2018 as Solar Decathlon Middle East (SDME). The competition is aimed at students who design, build (construct a house in Dubai) and operate a high performance and solar powered house. The house must be sustainable and energy-efficient providing comfort and efficiency simultaneously. Top 22 teams are selected from 16 different countries.
